However, I am not sure I like this new way of doing things from Windows 7. Basically, before, those icons used to stay there and as is when we were launching an application from the quick launch. Now, not only does the icon gets replaced by the regular Windows active application representation but it also pushes to the right all other icons in the quick launch (those that are on the right of the icon that we just clicked on).
It is True that in the previous version, we only had that place to click on something to show the desktop, or to use the hot key sequence. But, in Windows 7, despite the fact that we can also use the very right end vertical bar to show the desktip, it would have been nice they would have preserved the previous way.
