Doug,

Perhaps it's the description you've given that is confusing other people. The behavior is that when you drag certain IDE windows in Vista or later, you don't see the entire window moving but rather an outline of the window with a thick hatched gray border. It's a known issue in VFP, so it isn't hardware or software related and happens for everyone.

Thanks. This is very comforting to hear! I took me the longest time to 'jump into' Windows 7 only because I want to be sure VFP works in it with no hitches at all. When I saw this behavior, I reformatted, reinstalled, and used video drivers supplied by Windows 7, the CD that came with my machine, and then some I got from the net, hoping that this will make it go away. I then created this thread to reach out. =)

Although I must say that while I am dragging an IDE window, "the outline of the window with a thick hatched gray border" really does move in a jittery fashion and really does have this "delayed lag" behind where the mouse pointer is, that is why the first thing I thought was a hardware video problem or some incompatibility of VFP with Win7.

Dennis
