>>>Hey Denis,
>>>
>>>Did you put your pre-order in for the ExoPC yet? I know you're interested in one :) and so am I. I'm going to wait to see how the initial builds go and what users have to say about them.
>>>
>>>This could be the first iPad killer.

>>I just wanted to let you know what's happening regarding the EXO.
>>
>>Some who pre-ordered have received it. I am amongst the first members of the site (#117) but I haven't received mine yet. In the first shipment only those that ordered the 32 gig got it. Technical reasons. I ordered the 64 gig version so I should receive mine in the second shipment. They shipped 100 in the first shipment. There will be 400 shipped in the second shipment. If I'm lucky, that means if everything goes fast at the customs, I should have mine next week.
>>
>>The only bad side to it is the battery. It'll last only around 3 1/2 hours. But there are developments right now to create an external battery that would add 7 hours.
>>
>>That combination would really make it an iPad killer. Already the specs are great. A real computer. USB ports. A real OS (win. 7 so you can view Flash web sites). Bigger screen. Touch screen. Same price as iPad.

>Thanks for the update, but, it wasn't necessary :) I know all about the goings on at Exo because I'm a forum member too. Like you, I've pre-ordered a 64GB version and will most likely be in the 3rd wave.

>Did you read the Engadget review? She gave it a 5/10 like *EVERY* Windows tablet she ever reviewed. I don't think that she gave the score much thought. I mean, other tablets with lower hardware specs got the same score! The other interesting thing is, as you may already know, is that she'd given it a 6/10 at first then the review was taken down! Apparently there was a "glitch" ;) When the review was put back up, the score had dropped. She was impressed with the responsiveness of the touch interface and speed but didn't like the viewing angles and the unfinished exo layer ui. Of course, as you'd mentioned, she really punished it for the battery life. The thing is, she stated that there is a "standard" battery life test that they use over at Engadget, however, it seem that they don't use it on Apple stuff - which they tend to use a benchmark! The latest Mac Air review talks about testing the battery by surfing the net, email, etc. but NOT using the "standard" test. I wonder why that is?

>Anyway, I can't wait to get my Exo!

Hey Mike,

Yes I read Engadget review. I don't give that much credits to certain kind of reviews. Hidden agendas will make reviewers say anything. As for the viewing angle I intend to use it in front of me :-D. It gives me a weird feeling when I see that their tests are not really standards.

Who cares about the layer. This is the software part and will be updated frequently. So I guess that the EXO will becomer better and better with those upgrades. Battery Life is a downer but like I told you there will be an external battery coming soon.

To me it really looks like a very interesting computer.
