I've lost about a dozen pounds when I converted them into kilograms. Actually went down from nearly 90kg (which I actually reached a few times) down to more reasonable 84. I'd like to lose a few more, it's just that telecommuting doesn't leave much time for bicycling around.

And, ah, beer. Drink little, drink a good one. After all these years of what imports were available (and no Amstel dark, Heineken dark only once in a few years)... now it's come to not thinking about beer anymore, knowing that almost anywhere you sit you can get a good one. And cheap, at that.

Not bad if you don't have to think much about money :). Though it's not as it used to be - the prices of everything are approaching (or surpassing) the prices in the US; back in 2005 when we visited there was something like 2:1 ratio, everything was cheaper. Could be the dollar falling.

The big deal for us is getting the house in order. We finally got the heating sorted out - our old system was empty and untouched for many years, and it being in the basement, which was flooded (no deeper than 15cm) once in a while, the general dampness in the air caused a lot of rust, and I just didn't dare let electricity through it. Now the floor is 19[sup]o[/sup]C and the ceiling is at 19[sup]o[/sup]C, perfect.

Another nice thing is that I don't need a car. Downtown is a 20 minute walk, or 8 minutes on a bicycle; for hauling anything these vehicles can't carry, a cab ride is not over 2€ - maybe up to 3,50€ cross town. Cabs are so cheap - and the competition is so fierce they don't expect tips, and they truncate (not round!) the amount to 10 dinars (1€ = 106RSD).

Had a bit of trouble buying a printer, because I wanted to get out of the "thou shalt pay a new printer for every two batches of ink" cycle, and so wanted to get a Canon Pixma like i4600 or newer. I had to wait for it to get ordered... and it arrived the next day, imagine that.
