Lots of interesting responses, but a few misconceptions as well.

Minimal or no javascript is required. You can use javascript if you desire to add fancy web-specific things or for any purpose, but it is not a requirement. You can use CSS or edit their CSS if you wish to change the appearance scheme, again not a requirement. You can add your own HTML, again not a requirement.

There are not really any MS tools that allow apps anything like this; try doing it in the .NET platform of your choice and see how many man hours it takes you to create an extensive app with VFP type capabilities and performance.

Even that aside, and regardless of the back end data storage, many VFP apps exist that rewriting the interface would be a huge job. And, most importantly, Foxincloud allows for rewrites or whatever while maintaining both desktop and web versions -- that is the best feature, IMO. Servoy, based on Java, allows for both desktop and web apps from the same code, but the idea of rewriting some of my larger VFP apps, with thousands of forms and classes, into Java would mean it would be quite a while before my users would see their web version.

The cost is not cheap, although compared to a rewrite it is, but even so I found the pricing sheet a little confusing and contacted them and found it was not as bad as I thought.

Of course, with any platform promising big things, one must go slow and be careful, but this shows a lot of promise.
