You brought up a good point. When this happened (both times), did the daycare center notify all parents or only the parents of the child the incident happened to?

I would be concerned that if it ever did go into legal proceedings (for a 3rd incident?), that not only did you leave your child in after two clear warnings of poor supervision, that you failed to ensure the daycare center notified other parents were aware of the dangers as well (in case serious damage occurs to another child). Possible negligence? It's hard to guess what a traumatized parent might consider.

It is sad to have to think that way, but if I were the parent of another child at the same daycare center, I would want to be notified as well - even if my child was not hurt. I would definitely check out the state regulations on that (DHS can certainly inform you). Was a letter mailed to all parents when you were notified both times? Is the daycare center required to do so? The laws are different in every state.
