Just in case anyone didn't notice how unusual the election results were:

Not including these undecided House races, Republicans have already gained 60 seats in the House - largest gain for either party since 1948, when the Democrats gained 75 seats to regain control of the House. The last time the Republicans gained at least this many seats was 1938, when they picked up 80 seats in that year's midterm elections.
