>What an arrogant SOB. This is why I loath the GOP. They're back in town for less than a day, and it's the same old 'Do what we say or we'll gang up on you & beat you up" story - as if the GOP would do anything to help Obama anyway.

>People are loosing their homes daily, the economy is STILL in shambles after Bush destroyed it, jobs are finally starting to come back, and all this loon can think to do is go after Obama. Obama put more jobs on the table in the last 8 months than Bush did in 8 years. Where's the recognition of that? Typical baseless unfounded GOP hatred of a democratic president.

>Like I said yesterday - 2 years from now the GOP will be out on their a$$'s again.

Interesting blaming it on Bush. No mention of Clinton's responsibilities (I've posted the evidence myself too many times to do so again). Regardless, the end result is due to Bush and his rhetoric (I agree with this link):

The same thing happened with Obama and the media. They created the reality.

But, At least be honest about both sides. The past sessions have involved the Dems blocking just about every single bill proposed by the Republicans and in the same breath claiming (extensively via the media) that they have no ideas or alternatives. Over 200 bills never made it to the floor for a consideration, let alone a vote. I do find it amazing that the Dems are now declaring that they will have to "work together" when they failed to even consider it in the previous sessions while they had control. How likely is it that the Repubs will do what the Dems failed to do and actually attempt to work together. Not likely. Both parties are disgusting. The last time both parties worked together was when Clinton was president and there was a Republican control in the congress. Most forget that in 1995 President Clinton said that balancing the budget was a bad idea - it would be bad for the economy. Yet it happened with a Republican congress.

Read the 2nd column:

It was achieved and if they work together, it can be again.

The speaker determines which bills actually make it to the floor. Sadly that control is exercised at all levels - both at the state and at the national level.
