The problem with automated translation is that often you can end up with text that isn't always intelligible. Of course this could be a source of unexpected entertainment -- up until they fixed many on-line translators a few years ago, the typical result of translation from Japanese to English created text that sounded like Yoda*.



* in the English-language version of Star Wars, Yoda had used a peculiar "inside-out/backward" grammar, indicating that he was speaking in English, but thinking in a different language (thus the peculiar grammar).

Of couse, one doesn't have to use machine translation to get amusing results --- just look up info on "Star War The Third Gathers: The Backstroke of the West" for an example of translation done badly.
