They can not only stop funding, but send the U.S. into default in the process. The biggest vote (why the new guys will have to stand by their word or cave in right away) is coming up fast - increasing the federal deficit cap. That is the only thing I think will prevent the GOP from denying funding. It would crash the U.S. and many other locations in the world as well.
