>No go... I made sure the UAC was unchecked and rebooted my Vista machine. When it came back up I right clicked on the installation .msi file but there was no option to 'Run as an Administrator' as you suggested. That seems to be an option only if the file you're running is a .exe file. Anyway, I ran to .msi file but I got the same Error 1001. Any other suggestions?

Are you installing MM 4.0 with VS 2010 or MM3.6 with VS2008?
