Self promoter, I'm not. I'm very introverted and get giggly and nervous. To be honest, when I'm nervous I come off as a real bubble-head. I guess getting a partner is more than a good idea; it's a necessity.
I know what OOP is. RDBMS I don't. Codd, is that the normal form guy? I've been thinking about learning VB even though I really don't want to program in it. Since all the Map Objects examples are in VB, I've been learning to translate VB to VFP. What are "enterprise development concepts"?
Thanks,
-Michelle

>What you do have to be is a good self-promoter. You also have to master walking into a potential client with steely-eyed confidence. Clients get nervous about you if you're nervous.

>As to what you should learn: Learn the theory behind what you're already doing (OOP,RDBMS theory, Codd, etc). Learn a server database like SQL Server. Learn VBA at the least, if not VB. Learn enterprise development concepts.
