Yes, it shows a phone call and also I recently added my gmail account to Pidgin (although I disabled it today). I opened gmail in IE and there is no flickering. It seems to only be in GC. MSDN forum also flickers there. May be I need to start switching back to IE - I use it for UT anyway.
