I also had problems installing VFP9 on my new Dell with 64 bit Windows 7 installed. I fixed the problem by installing MSVCR71.dll, in the windows\syswow64 directory. Some people report that this file may exist on your computer, just not in this directory. I also installed MSVCR70.dll, not sure which actually allowed the install to run.
