You knew he was going to get the axe but I am surprised that they did it at this point in the season. The owner is probably still peeved at Childress for cutting Randy Moss unilaterally, which by agreement he was not supposed to do. I am glad to see Leslie Frazier finally get his chance. Hopefully the rest of the season will not be a tryout for him to get the job full time. That team is so dispirited their play during garbage time may not be a fair reflection on the coach(es)..
I watched the Vikings vs. Packers yesterday (as much as I could stand) and Tavaris Jackson's name came up. Troy Aikman, who is as good as any commentator in the game IMO, said (paraphrasing) that's nuts. He said despite all the interceptions Favre has thrown this year he is still far better than Jackson.
I bet if Brett knew how this season was going to go he never would have come back. Of course no athlete ever knows that. Almost all of them stay at least a little too long. To me it's sad to watch.
