It's a small story here where small demonstrations are always going on...so it was covered by the local news and some liberal news like the NYT and Democracy Now. Doesn't mean it isn't newsworthy at all, just that in the scheme of things, it was a small localized story. It may eventually make the national news widely - the arrest of the journalists could cause that within the next couple of days.

They attacked RT (channel whose crew got arrested) very recently in their recognizable style... Perfectly speaking RT correspondent was even accused of not speaking proper english. (Taxas ?) Almost hilarious ;)
