>What's the difference between a BLOB and a Binary Memo field? The BLOB supposedly addressed the nightmare of storing images in a General field, but why didn't the binary memos solve that before? Or maybe it did? This is my first occasion to store images in a DBF.

A Blob is a binary data type and corresponds to SQL Server Image data type. A Binary Memo is a character data type w/o code page translation.
