This reminds me of a dialogue, customer to a printer repair shop guy:
guy: ...actually, you can do it yourself, just follow the instructions in the manual.
cust: You are very kind to tell me that, but... is your boss aware you're telling me how to save my money by not bringing my printer to your shop?
guy: Well, it's his idea, anyway. He says we make more money repairing what users try to fix themselves...
