>>>>Years ago, 50,000 protested. This year, less than 5,000 people showed up and some reports had it less than 2,000. It's a small story here where small demonstrations are always going on...so it was covered by the local news and some liberal news like the NYT and Democracy Now. Doesn't mean it isn't newsworthy at all, just that in the scheme of things, it was a small localized story. It may eventually make the national news widely - the arrest of the journalists could cause that within the next couple of days.

>>>They attacked RT (channel whose crew got arrested) very recently in their recognizable style... Perfectly speaking RT correspondent was even accused of not speaking proper english. (Taxas ?) Almost hilarious ;)

>>The funniest part of that video was RT referring to Bill O'Reilly as mainstream. He's a political pundit ! So is Sean Hannity. both are entertainment shows which provide their political opinion on the news. They are NOT mainstream media or mainstream media news. You don't really believe they are do you?

>they can be considered 'mainstream'. Hence RT making 'mistake' and calling them 'mainstream'.
>Are you implying that FoxNews>Bill oRaily show is watched only by marginal numbers of low educated, delusional quasi patriots with hostile imperial and/or fascist inclinations ? {g}

>If that is the case, then RT is totally off the base ;0)

Just because a show has a huge viewer base doesn't make it reality, true, or neutral at all. I think many watch for the hilarious discussions and entertainment value, not for impartial news. They enjoy watching the parties on the shows discuss and bicker :o) Fox news shows and the entertainment shows intentionally bring on the most polar opposites and those passionate in their views because it makes good tv (entertainment).
