So far each episode I've seen has been done by Chris Chibnall, whose work I typically love. However, each episode I've watched so far has been packed full of politically correct situations and comments ranging from a older white well-to-do CEO "Maggie" beneficiary versus a young black female (what's the equivalent to a DA in the US?) whose family celebrated when "Maggie" left office (not to mention the near railroading of a gay man for being gay) to a Turkish club being burnt down by racial hatred for illegal immigrants.

Is this only typical of this one show or is it the case of many newer British tv shows? I watch a lot of British tv shows but I catch them all later of course (after they are on their 3rd season at least when they show up here on the BBC America or PBS) so not sure what the newest shows and episodes are like.
