There was one interesting stat displayed on the screen during the Bears-Eagles game yesterday, after Michael Vick was intercepted near the Bears' goal line. (Not really his fault -- it was tipped up in the air at the line and floated into the hands of the Bears DB, the easiest interception he will ever have in his life). It said it was Vick's first interception since 2006. Not all that time is worth bragging about, is it? <g>
I have to say my hat is off to what Vick has done this year. Not only has he played extremely well -- an MVP candidate for sure -- but unless he has me completely snowed, off the field as well. By all reports he seems genuinely repentant about the dog fighting for which he was sent to prison. He speaks to school and youth groups all the time, basically saying "Don't do that." And before you say I am just being a bleeding heart again, bear in mind that I never liked Vick even before the dog fighting came up. If I was wrong about him, as I now believe I was, I don't mind admitting it.
