FWIW, Agnes, I never have any trouble understanding your meaning. It may be the wrong word once in a while but your meaning is always clear. Maybe sometimes you don't completely understand idiomatic English speech. It seems common for non-native speakers (in any language) to think they are not understood just because they are not as flawless as they are in their native language. That is not the case.
