Hello,
Just wondering if anybody is using the new FILESTREAM features in SQL Server 2008. Currently I am storing the path to a file in my DB table, but this is getting to be a pain because I still have to manually locate/open the file and deal with secure storage of the file. It seems like FILESTREAM would be a great fit for my requirements.

Any disadvantages? I know KG mentioned once that it doesn't work well with replication, but I don't need replication.

Are the actual files encrypted on disk then or something so they can't be open directly?
Very fitting: http://xkcd.com/386/
