Yes I'm aware of that argument. :-)

But I should be able to do it and would like to know what I'm missing.

In all my years of writing .NET apps (and I started back in early 2002), I have never used, nor never needed to use, the Server Explorer. IMHO, drag-and-drop programming of DataAccess (and DataSets) doesn't work all that well. I've done all that with my own classes, not the crud that the designer generates for that.
