My older daughter goes to UW-Milwaukee and is surrounded by Packers fans, as one might expect. She likes the Packers all right, especially Aaron Rodgers, but remains loyal to the Bears ahead of them. That's my girl. (OK, soon to be 21 year old woman, and you will be there before you know it, KG <g>). She said there has been a lot of talk up there about the Packers getting head coaches fired in consecutive weeks.

This morning on the drive to work I listened to ESPN radio, per usual on Mondays in football season. One of Golic's main points was that the Chiefs are for real, at least in terms of being a team that should make the playoffs and not be taken lightly. He said when then have the running game going they are solid.

There was also some discussion about Peyton Manning and the Colts. Everyone seemed tired of his saying the Colts' woes are all because of injuries. Yes, they said, there have definitely been injuries, but by this point in the season everyone is banged up. One of the commentators said in fairness to Peyton he was answering questions, not calling press conferences to complain. The fact remains he has thrown 11 picks in the past three games, which they said has not happened in many years in the NFL. He admitted himself in a press conference audio clip that he has not been playing as well as he expects himself to. Still one of my favorite players, going through a rough stretch.
