I remember my uncle used to call those $2 bills - "Racetrack dollars" because of the $2 window at the racetrack (where my uncle - "Champagne Charlie" - was known to spend his time ;-)

I believe that because of the current price of nickel the biggest money loser for the treasury is making the penny - I believe each one costs over 2c to make.

>>I don't think so :o) Sorry. I have a bunch so I doubt they are worth anything. They are still in circulation. Unless it's one of the really old ones with Alexander Hamilton on it? That would be cool.

>>>Remember $2 bills? My grandfather had a couple dozen of them, which passed on to my mother. Not sure what they're worth now but I bet more than $2.

Charles Hankey

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
