I have an entity project that I have modified the setting in config and it works fine. There must be a setting you are missing. Entity framework adds one in the config file in addition to the standard MM Connection piece. Did you find that one and change it? Also don't forget your business project has an app.config file which is used for design time only and the application project has one that is used at runtime. Make sure they are both setup properly for the database you are using.
