>I am in the midst of beginning to design a web interphase for a database system for the air traffic evaluations branch of the federal aviation administration. My background is in total VFP and I have heard of several people using VFP as a web front end web server for this sort of thing. I am not sure if i should use VFP 6 or go to visual interdev with active server pages to develop my front end server. We will be using a lot of number crunching stats and I figured that we could do all this through asp pages, but i wanted to see what people are doing out in the field now with VFP before i learned Visual interdev. Our backend database is sql server.

What you can do is use VI to build your pages... but, build the processing in VFP 6...

I recommend this for two reason...

1. You KNOW VFP and will be more productive.
2. VFP is that fastest database engine on the planet.

See www.west-wind.com for alot of info on Fax and the Web.
