It doesn't take a whole lot of code to get in to an FTP site, list all the files, retrieve whatever you want, etc. etc. Then it's just a matter of parsing the header and sending the file(s) somewhere else. FWIW, Chilkat has numerous examples for VFP and their customer support is great.

Thanks Scott. Yes, I have written most of the components also, using Chilkat in fact. I was really hoping to fiind a tool that was ready to go and perhaps would have more functionality than what I recognize as the core components.

I h ave been looming at Biztalk and we will be setting up an evaluation of that. It seems to have everything, but I understand there is quite a bit of complexity involved. However, it does also facilitate message mappings as well, which could be useful.
