This was a really enjoyable game. It wasn't even about the Bears winning to clinch a spot in the playoffs, although that was nice.

It was the surreal scene of playing in extreme cold in Minnesota, a borrowed outdoor stadium after the dome collapsed.

It was maybe the last time we will ever see the old gunslinger, Brett Favre, who was playing hurt and may have suffered a concussion. He has played on fierce opponents of the Bears almost his whole career and remains one of my favorite football players ever. His joy in the game was infectious. He would laugh around with guys like Warren Sapp and Brian Urlacher but he was out there to win.

Devin Hester, the electrifying kick returner, sent jolts that landed all the way here in Chicago. He is about 25 and was tied for most lifetime kick returns for touchdowns in league history. Last week he was brought down on what looked like the record breaker by a punter. A punter! The scene was repeated last night when the Vikings finally kicked to him (the home crowd booing when they kicked away) and he was taken down at the 6 yard line. Finally it happened. The Vikings foolishly kicked to him again. He was off to the races. They never even came close to tackling him.
