I have been working with the FoxInCloud beta, the “webification” solution for VFP applications introduced at SWFox in Phoenix. I'm still not 100% sold, but it looks like an interesting approach. Thierry Nivelet has been extremely response to my problems in the beta and he is getting close to having the second phase of the beta complete.

Thierry needs more applications (beta test) to run through the FoxInCloud Adaptation Assistant to help speed up its final release by the end of 2010. You can check their website and White Paper for details (www.foxincloud.com) but let me summarize it for you:
- FoxInCloud will let you publish your VFP application on the web without rewriting your application.
- You will be able to run the same code on the Web and as usual as a regular desktop application.

The beta testing is quite simple and straightforward and consists in checking that your automatically “webified” VFP application is still perfectly running on a regular desktop environment.
(Note: usually only parts of the application that make sense to have on the web need to be webified).
