Is there a way to retrieve how many levels deep a node is from the XML root? (i.e. count of parent > parent > .... > root). I can't find any property that returns anything like that (how many parents back to the root).

I'm using MSXML DOM (and am not using .Net) in a recursive routine, but the recursion depth isn't hasn't proven to be useful for some reason (the files are large and most elements are irrelevant and are ignored).
