At this point we need a lot more details:

- Workstation OS
- Client driver type and version (e.g. SQL Native Client/version xxx)
- Connection type(s) used: OLEDB, ODBC
- What connection string types have you used that have not worked?

- Are you sure mirroring isn't working? What do you mean by VFP "does not see the "new" main server"?

- Does the problem occur with more than one workstation?
- Are you able to connect directly to the "mirror" database server i.e. its firewall isn't blocking incoming connections etc.?
- Have you tried reversing the order of primary and secondary servers?

>I've already tried many of those.
>But VFpro does not see the "new" main server when
>the mirror switches as main server.
>Any help will be appreciated.

>>>Hi all.
>>>I want to connect from VFpro to a Database that is mirrored (SQL Server 2008 SP2) with witness.
>>>I'm having problems with the connection string. I want to take advantage of the mirroring.
>>>If my VFpro application can't see the mirroring it won't get data from the mirror if the main
>>>server fails and the mirror rises as the main server.
>>>
>>>Information:
>>> Database server: TESTE\PRODUCAO
>>> Mirror server: DATA\ESPELHO
>>> Witness server: LABORATORIO\TESTEMUNHA
>>
>>Googling [mirrored database connection string] yields some useful-looking results.
