>Congrats! Again. I know I compliment you regularly but you can stand one more, can't you? ;-) To me you epitomize an MVP. You have a tremendous amount of knowledge, wear it lightly, and are always ready to help. That's the gist of the program right there.

Well, thanks Mike ... I guess I can stand one more. <g>

>Now they just need to recognize Viv Phillips ;-) I know I am like a broken record about it but I'm not going to shut up until he gets his MVP. We have never met, never had a private conversation, nothing personal involved at all. I just think his contributions here are off the charts. A sincere compliment is always a pleasure to give.

I agree. However, I have in the past nominated people from the UT. Only one ever got it, and that was early on (Kevin). Our MVP Lead then was Rafael Munoz, and he was great ... I know he checked in on posts here regularly, because he joined in 2003 after I got my nomination and had been regularly logging in for as long as he was our Lead, which was for 4 or 5 years I think. We went through several Leads after that, one after the other ... we went through 2 or 3 one year (one of the reasons, IMHO, for them screwing up and dropping me a few years back) ... I'm on my 6th MVP Lead now!! Only one of the others has bothered to create an account here and check in on the posts.

So, yeah, JB's right ... the UT is not on their radar anymore, though it used to be. Plus, the .NET questions here have really, really slowed down! You *do* need to do more than be a guru on the UT <g> ... I'm on the MSDN forums too and I have a blog ... but, that's it ... no speaking engagements or any of that, and I still got re-awarded ... so they do value forum contributions, just not as much here on the UT anymore.
