Okay, so since we know the NFL is going to be checking in here at the UT to get ideas for how to avoid this problem in future <s>, what do we propose? Seems to me the options are:

1) an extra bye--great for my Eagles, but no way the NFL will give up the TV revenue;
2) an extra wildcard--this year, that would be the Giants and presumably they'd be the 6th seed, and it would set up quite the match-up for next week. (Would the Giants be set for revenge or totally dispirited?)

Any other ideas?
