In a custom web control I am trying to update a property of the control in the designer IDE based on the value entered for another property. This works visually in the Properties Window of the IDE but the updated property is not persisted as when the value is entered manually in the Properties Window.

What has to be done to enable the programmatically updated property to be persisted?
