There's a long way to go yet but the military/industrial complex loves these scare stories.

As for the anti carrier ballistic missile there is no evidence they can actually do it and even if they can so what. Large single assets are always vulnerable, much like the battleships of old eventually carriers will have had their day. The problem is persuading the military (who always love the big ticket items) to move on. Anything that could be described as too big to lose or risk becomes as much a liability as an asset.
