Vfp running is single thread. but look at a). Also the system task running encryption or deflating utilizes other cores/cpus.

>a. Should we invest money in the latest processors, or will FoxPro be unable to utilize them?
not really. go for memory and disk.
BUT West Wind OTOH uses many vfp processes, so go for the best. Also "worker scenarios" can be implemented, here cores/mult. cpu's help.

>3) Is there a limit to the amount of memory FoxPro can utilize?
Yes, but disk caching helps as well - esp. on 64-Bit systems

>a. If we put 12 GB of memory into a server, will it help?
Yes.

>4) Will FoxPro run on 64 bit Windows 7?
Vfp yes, FPW no.

>5) Is 50% utilization leave a reasonable amount of free space?
yes. up to 80 is usually ok.

>6) Will FoxPro run on MS Windows 2008?
Yes

>7) Will West Wind run on MS Windows 2008?
No reason not to...

>8) Should we upgrade the versions of both FoxPro and West Wind?
Yes - esp. if you need outsiders IMHO

>9) Are there any other items we should consider when purchasing new machines?

>Any or all suggestions would be appreciated.
Describing your intended use up front (with numbers if possible)
will give you better answers.
