When "The Sopranos" was still on the air HBO sponsored a chat forum which was buzzing after new episodes. Hundreds of messages an hour. There were some amazing insights. One of the regulars was a New Jersey judge who posted as Johnny the Gavel. He had sentenced offenders like the characters in the show but you could tell he had a fondness for them.

When Adriana got whacked there was a communal sense of loss. "Don't get in the car, Ade!" She was the show's one true innocent and they whacked her. And it was Christuffuh who set her up. It was Bruce Springsteen's guitarist, Miami Steve, who took her out. It even had a great title -- "Long Term Parking." There have been other terrific TV shows but to me that was the best of them.
