On another front:

The chinese are helping with the european deficit
- currently the angle is that they are so importantr now,
that the industrianal espionage issues should be looked over.

More important for the personal angle might be the question on how
the shifting buying power over there will be used.
In the seventies and eighties Japan was the bogeyman buying up
the western hemisphere - and they were sold sometimes estates
only overpriced twice. But the currency angle might become interesting,
as the current leading currencies are loosing buying power and renmimbi is becoming tradable.
