If the threads are not expanding when you log into the interface here, this is because there are too much messages since your last login. As, it wouldn't make sense to download 20 MB of files just for a single hit for thousdands of new messages. So, when this is the case, the thread headers are sent only. But, from there, with the + sign, you can expand then. Usually, if you log in on a frequent basis, you usually do not end up in that situation. In fact, I do not even remember the last time I logged and was in that situation. However, if you use Time Warp and go back two weeks, there is a good change you will only get the headers.
