It appears to work the same as the global refresh button on the top. However a couple of times it displayed a couple of different messages, so I'm still not sure. The "since last login" time warp feature displays more messages than were displayed when I logged in - and they were messages that were never displayed before so it seems to resolve the issue of some messages "disappearing."

Update: It looks like it is something I will use regularly so it would be nice to have the option to put it in a button click on the top.... :o)

Update2: It looks like the messages that I've been "missing" now and then are messages that were posted right after I last logged off. I tested it last night and again this morning and both times there were messages posted close to the time I logged off (after I logged off or those that I didn't click the global refresh button to view before I last logged off) that did not display when I next logged in. They do show up when I use the time warp "since last login" though...
