Change to another idea, the a Combo Box control is only appearance,bypass the control operation,actually you can create a cursor as its Rowsource with RowsourceType=6.when an item selected on the Cpmbo Box, the pointer will move to that record,hence you can
get any field value from the current record of the bound cursor.
