Very interesting thread. Thank you all. I started with dBaseII in 1981 - 80 commands. Went to dBXL, Clipper, dBFAST, FoxBase and a few years ago to FoxPro/Windows. I even taught it for a few years. I have just rewritten an app in VFP 6 that I wrote a few years ago in Win/FoxPro/ProMatrix. So I have been down the xbase road. Although I intend to 'hang in there', I start a course in VB 10/26/98 through ZDU.com(on line). When I search the classified here in DC/MD/VA, the VB ads out number the VFP ads 10/15 to 1. I'd rather spent my resources working with Web Connecting/Cold Fusion. But as you have stated, we need to do it all. Maybe that's why all my wives are rated 'X'.

Maybe I'll be able to contribute something worthwhile to this thread in a few months.
