When I was in school we had a girl in our class who was raised in a box (Skinner box). She didn't get to go to school until 3rd grade IIRC.

She certainly was a great student academically.

OTOH she was absolutely incapable of having a conversation with someone socially and was about as physically active as a wet piece of toast.

She was in my class through junior year in HS (when my family moved to Florida). Dunno what became of her. I don't think she ever recovered socially or physically.

Personally, I think a kid should be allowed to be a kid (and not a sheep like the PC crowd wants now).
