Who is Piers Morgan? you may be wondering. I had the same question the other day when he began appearing prominently on the cnn.com home page. And then the next day, and the next. None of it was newsworthy, just things people said to Piers Morgan or vice versa. It turns out he is the replacement for Larry King on the CNN TV channel.

I. Don't. Like. It. It's not unusual for multi-tentacled media companies to have one unit goose another but this is exceptionally heavy handed. cnn.com is supposed to be a news site, no? I have had it as my home page for years but am giving serious thought to switching.
