All valid points, but as you point out Windows Phone has a pretty small following at the point. My guess is that it will fail to claim more of the market share because compared to the iPhone and Android it really kinda sucks. Said to say but I think that's the case. I know that Micro$oft is planning an update soon - perhaps that will help. Plus seeing how the DRM for the Windows Phone Marketplace has been hacked - how many developers are going to bother writing an app knowing everyone will just get it for free? Obviously there are free apps vs paid apps - but if no one is willing to develop paid ones....
Look at it this way - windows phone 7 has been out for just a few weeks and already 1) The live-services thing has been hacked so anyone can activate a windows phone 7 phone. 2) Their marketplace has been hacked so everyone can download ALL software from the market place, install it, and run it for free. Now too me it would appear the google has the edge here as far as security goes.

>There's a huge difference between Windows Phone and Windows. In the case of Windows Phone, it's not based on Windows, so Windows malware shouldn't affect it. And, if you're a malware author and going for biggest market share, it certainly isn't Windows Phone.

>When talking about Windows itself, pretty much all anti-virus companies now state that Windows is the most secure OS (not just the most secure version of Windows).

>>I don't think that Android is any more risky to run that windows - if anything it's probably safer because it's not targeted as much. Microsoft has huge security holes too and there are windows apps gathering personal info.
