Yep that's right - I forgot that WP7 is GSM only right now - but hey so was iPhone until just a few days ago - heck they were only on the ATT band of GSM too. I wouldn't be shocked to see WP7 overtake the Blackberry market.
I do like the performance of WP7 and I'd really like to see it make it...but they just dropped the ball on some of the most obvious things - like you can't even sync your contacts with Outlook? Like how dumb is that? I finally resorted to installing the outlook hotmail connector for outlook and syncing them that way - but I doubt too many people will be willing to jump though hoops like that. MS is bragging about the update that's coming out soon so hopefully it'll clean up some of these issues.

>IMO, not valid points to not look at the platform. Once it gets CDMA support, there will be more people move to it. But, it won't overtake Android or Apple. However, unless RIM gets its act together, WP7 could overtake Blackberry market share. HP's WebOS is still a wildcard in all this.

>>All valid points, but as you point out Windows Phone has a pretty small following at the point. My guess is that it will fail to claim more of the market share because compared to the iPhone and Android it really kinda sucks. Said to say but I think that's the case. I know that Micro$oft is planning an update soon - perhaps that will help. Plus seeing how the DRM for the Windows Phone Marketplace has been hacked - how many developers are going to bother writing an app knowing everyone will just get it for free? Obviously there are free apps vs paid apps - but if no one is willing to develop paid ones....
>>Look at it this way - windows phone 7 has been out for just a few weeks and already 1) The live-services thing has been hacked so anyone can activate a windows phone 7 phone. 2) Their marketplace has been hacked so everyone can download ALL software from the market place, install it, and run it for free. Now too me it would appear the google has the edge here as far as security goes.
