The future of FoxPro is a real popular topic for developers. We don't hesitate to blame Microsoft for poor marketing, but I’m convinced that the users of a particular tool make the future of that tool.

If we look at the OS linux, we see a OS that was designed in the early nineties by a finish student. Because he didn't have the intention to make money on his product and shared this product on the internet many, many developers worked for free on the product. By now the product is growing more and more mature and far more stable than Windows 95. By the growing interest for Linux it is possible that this OS is really a good alternative for the Microsoft Windows versions.

I'm trying to say that we as developers should stop arguing, and work on de development of VFP tools. Don't keep fancy routines for ourselves, but share them with many developers and maybe they will improve them.

Now i can hear them pro's say: "But in this way we won't make money". But do we want to see VFP drown in the sea of VB or Delphi ? And i think is not easy to make money out of fancy routines that are not perfect yet. B.T.W. did Linux had a change when this finish student tried to make money on this ??) I'm convinced we all could benefit from this.

To make a start I’ll post my own application framework here in UT as soon as I finish a global description and know how to upload this.
