My all time favourite was also a tabloid. They had a picture of a woman in a bathing suit diagonally on the front page. Her picture was obviously stretched because the proportions were weird. Anyway, the headline said, "Woman grows two feet overnight. We had to tilt her picture to get it on the page."

I always had a vision in my head of some idiot having bought and read the paper, probably with pictures of buildings or bridges or whatever in it, suddenly sitting bolt upright in bed around 2:00am and saying to himself, "Hey, wait a minute!"
